Yes, you read that correctly. Our 4WD Systems Long Range Fuel Tank has zero reduction in ground clearance.
Because when it comes to a serious 4WD, ground clearance is just as important as fuel capacity.
Unlike some long range fuel tank options on the market, our tank for the Toyota Landcruiser 300 Series 2021-Current has been specifically engineered to maintain the vehicle’s original ground clearance and off-road capability. Rather than taking shortcuts by extending below the factory tank position, we design our tanks to utilise the available space above and around the original fuel tank wherever possible.
The result is a no-compromise fuel storage solution that delivers increased fuel capacity without sacrificing the clearance, ramp-over angle or departure angle that your vehicle was designed with.
Unfortunately, it has become common for some aftermarket long range fuel tanks to sit 20–40mm lower than the factory tank. While this may seem insignificant, it can reduce ground clearance, compromise off-road performance and leave your fuel tank more exposed to damage when tackling challenging terrain.
Its also important to note that our tank features a strapless design meaning that theres even less things to get hung up on offroad. Straps often get caught on sticks, rocks and other foreign objects and get caught, twisted or broken. This tank doesn’t have this issue.
With our 4WD Systems Long Range Tank we don’t trade ground clearance for fuel capacity.
About This Tank
Our 4WD Systems 90L Long Range Fuel Tank for the Landcruiser 300 Series is the largest replacement fuel tank on the market. It has been designed as a true replacement for the original tank with no modifications required. Due to its direct bolt in nature this tank can be installed at home if mechanically equipped, or at a workshop.
When installing this tank there is “No” cutting, drilling or modifying your vehicle.
This tank retains the original Toyota sender unit to ensure reliability and fuel gauge function. We incorporate a CNC machined flange specifically designed to suit the OEM sender unit. This flange is welded into the fuel tank.
In the 300 series there is actually two tanks from factory which work together. On the drivers side of the vehicle there is an 80L tank and on the passenger’s side of the vehicle a 30L tank. Our 90L tank replaces the 30L tank and integrates seamlessly with the system.
Our 90L tank fits all models including GR Sport. Due to its unique design, we have been able to offer the largest tank on the market with zero impact on ground clearance and all without the use of straps which sit even lower.
As we haven’t compromised the ground clearance, you can rest assured that your vehicle is at no risk off-road. In fact, due to our 2mm construction and internal baffles, our tank is actually far superior in strength to the original plastic tank.
Spare wheel under the back? No worries! Because our tank is a replacement tank, it does not extend behind the rear axle and does not compromise your spare wheel location.
We have made every effort to ensure that our tank is compatible with every available exhaust system on the market up to 4” in diameter. If you already have an upgraded exhaust, we can pretty well guarantee that our tank should fit.
Landcrusier 300 suspension and gvm upgrades are compatible with our tank, including fitment of remote reservoir shock absorbers. We have tried and tested just about every combination of suspension with our tanks over the years and can confirm that your 300s suspension will not interfere with our tank.
